The 2020 Toyota Tundra has a dated-looking cabin with lower-quality materials than some competitors. Seating space is excellent, but comfort is lagging. Infotainment features are fairly easy to use.

The Toyota Tundra seats up to six people. A front bench seat, cloth upholstery, and four-way manually adjustable front seats are standard. Optional features include front bucket seats, vinyl or leather upholstery, a 10-way or 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a six-way power-adjustable passenger seat, heated and ventilated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Both rows of seats in the Tundra have plenty of space, with excellent rear legroom in the CrewMax cab. However, the seats aren't as comfortable as what you'll find in rival pickups.

The Tundra has two complete sets of rear LATCH connectors, in addition to a tether anchor for the rear middle seat. The lower anchors in the Double Cab are set too deeply in the seats, but they’re easier to access in CrewMax models. The tether anchors can be hard to find.

Interior Features

Standard features in the 2020 Tundra include a 7-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, satellite radio, three USB ports, voice recognition, Bluetooth, a six-speaker stereo, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. The Entune infotainment system is generally easy to use, though the virtual buttons are small, and some menus and functions can be hard to navigate through.

The Tundra also comes standard with a rearview camera, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights, and adaptive cruise control.

Optional features include an 8-inch touch screen, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, a sliding horizontal rear window, a vertical power rear window, a seven- or nine-speaker stereo, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, a power sliding rear window, navigation, a 12-speaker JBL premium stereo, and a moonroof.

Available driver assistance features include front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert.

The Tundra is available with 5-foot-6-inch, 6-foot-6-inch, and 8-foot-1-inch beds. It's difficult to load cargo into this Toyota because of its high bed lift-in height and tall sidewalls.

  • "An abundance of cargo and storage space is expected with a pickup. While the Toyota is merely adequate in most areas, our testing revealed that the cavernous crew cab is able to hold 21 carry-on suitcases with its rear seat folded, two more than any other pickup." -- Car and Driver
