Toyota Will Launch a Completely Redesigned Corolla Sedan for the 2020 Model Year

The all-new, 12th-generation 2020 Toyota Corolla sedan will join the Corolla hatchback, Camry, Prius, and C-HR on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. The updated platform will make for a more agile and powerful Corolla sedan with sportier design cues.

According to Toyota, the TNGA platform reduces weight, improves fuel economy, and increases vehicle safety. In addition, it enhances overall driving dynamics by providing more athletic handling paired with a quieter, more coddling ride.

Toyota recently took the wraps off its upcoming, redesigned 2020 Toyota Corolla sedan in California at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It shares a design with the new Corolla hatchback, which is already at dealers.

While the Corolla sedan is one of the top-selling vehicles of all time, sales are declining as the popularity of sedans continues to decrease on our shores. This new, more desirable generation of Corolla sedans will work to increase interest and better compete in the dwindling sedan market.
