Winner: Honda HR-V

The 2020 Honda HR-V comes in with a base price of $20,820, which is $475 lower than the 2020 Toyota C-HR’s starting price of $21,295. The HR-V has five trim levels, with the base LX being rather bare-bones. At the other end of the lineup, the HR-V Touring has every available feature and a price tag about $2,500 higher than the top-end C-HR Limited.

The base C-HR LE trim is a little more expensive, but it does have more standard features. Its top trim is similarly equipped to the HR-V, but it does not include navigation like the Honda does. Adding that option to the top C-HR Limited trim brings the total price up to $27,390, which is still an even $1,500 lower than the HR-V Touring price.
