The Toyota Camry Hybrid Gets a Makeover

The 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid arrives in dealerships later this summer alongside its non-hybrid counterpart. The redesigned midsize car will once again raise the bar for fuel economy in the segment, with EPA estimates that exceed 50 mpg in the city. Along the way, it gets more horsepower and better handling.

It shares its bolder look and most of its components with the redesigned 2018 Toyota Camry, but it gains a new hybrid powertrain and compact, powerful battery packs that have been relocated to improve trunk space and handling.

The 2017 Camry Hybrid is one of the top-rated hybrid vehicles in our ranking of midsize cars and our ranking of hybrids, but Toyota is aiming for the sales crown with the 2018 model. Learn about what they’ve done to make that happen on the following slides.
