2017 Audi R8 Spyder V10

The second-generation mid-engine Audi R8 dropped its top in New York with the debut of the 540-horsepower R8 Spyder V10. The road-going model was developed in parallel with the R8 Le Mans GT3 race car, sharing many of its components. Time from zero to 62 mph is only 3.6 seconds.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated V10 engine that feeds all four wheels through Audi’s legendary Quattro all-wheel drive system. It rides on a new, stiffer, and lighter chassis. The new R8 is 1.4 inches wider than the previous model, and just a bit (.6 inches) shorter.
