With a base price that’s in line with some luxury convertibles, but none of the cabin elegance to match, it’s hard to argue in favor of the Nissan 370Z convertible. This stripped-out muscle car hasn’t been redesigned since it was introduced in the 2009 model year, and it’s looking a little long in the tooth. Rivals like the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro have fresher styling, more advanced tech features, and much better fuel economy estimates than the 370Z.

That being said, the 370Z does have a few positives, mostly in the way it drives. A V6 comes standard and it helps this sports car get up to speed quickly. There’s ample grip for going through turns, and the tight steering lets you hit the apex every time. The 370Z has rear-wheel drive, which purists know is the only correct layout for a sports car.
