2018 Tesla Model 3: What You Need to Know

Tesla Model 3
3 of 14

Two Range Options

The base model of the Tesla Model 3 has an EPA-estimated range of 220 miles, which is 18 shy of the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV and its 238-mile range. If you opt for the $9,000 long-range battery option in the Model 3, you’ll get an EPA-estimated 310 miles of range.

Most other purely electric cars, with the exception of the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X, will run out of juice after about 100 miles or so. The longest-range Model S can travel up to 335 miles on a single charge, and the Model X is rated to go as far as 295 miles between charging sessions.
