Pros & Cons

  • Smaller than many rivals

2010 Suzuki Kizashi Overview

Suzuki wanted to challenge more expensive, fun-to-drive cars with the Kizashi when it debuted in 2010. Test drivers said the Kizashi’s engine couldn’t match those of European sport sedans, but its suspension gave them a run for their money. Available all-wheel drive, good fuel economy, an upscale cabin and high safety scores are the 2010 Kizashi’s other strong points.

Shoppers looking for a spacious midsize car may also find there’s not enough room in the Kizashi's cabin and trunk, especially compared with larger midsize cars like the 2010 Mazda6 and 2010 Toyota Camry.

The 2010 Suzuki Kizashi has a four-cylinder engine and either a six-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). You’ll find all-wheel drive on models with the CVT. Eight airbags, anti-lock brakes, traction control and electronic stability control are standard on the 2010 Kizashi. Dual-zone climate control, push-button start and an auxiliary input are standard, and the Kizashi can be equipped with features like leather seats, heated seats, navigation, Bluetooth and an upgraded stereo system.

Other Cars to Consider

If you need more space, the 2010 Ford Fusion has a larger interior and trunk, but the Ford also offers an available V6 engine. Like the Kizashi, the Fusion has good safety scores, available all-wheel drive, athletic handling and a well-built interior. If you opt for all-wheel drive on the 2010 Fusion, keep in mind that it’s only available on some V6 models, so fuel economy will take a big hit compared with the four-cylinder Kizashi.

The 2010 Subaru Legacy is bigger than the Kizashi, and it also has standard all-wheel drive. The Legacy also offers your choice of three powertrain options, including a six-cylinder engine and turbo four, which aren’t found on the Kizashi.
