Reviewers say that ho-hum interior materials and a design that emphasizes practicality over style make the redesigned 2015 Subaru WRX’s cabin feel dull compared to the more sophisticated and attractive cabins of rivals like the Volkswagen GTI. Some think the cabin is incredibly quiet, while others find wind noise to be obtrusive while driving on the highway.

The 2015 Subaru WRX seats five and comes standard with a leather-wrapped tilt and telescoping steering wheel. Available options include heated front seats and leather upholstery. Test drivers say the WRX’s front seats are extremely supportive and comfortable, even over long distances, and that there’s plenty of legroom in the back seat. They say sightlines are outstanding from the driver’s seat, and that it’s easy to find a comfortable driving position.

Interior Features

The 2015 WRX comes with a six-speaker CD sound system, a USB port, Bluetooth and a security system with an engine immobilizer. Available features include a nine-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, voice-controlled navigation, a moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control and push-button start.

Some automotive critics dislike that the optional navigation system makes it difficult to access audio functions, and that the gauges can be difficult to see in bright sunlight. Still, a few reviewers report that most dashboard controls are easy to use.
