Elantra vs. Sonata: Worth the Upgrade?

In addition to a growing stable of crossovers, Hyundai sells an array of sedans and hatchbacks. Two of the more popular models are the compact 2019 Hyundai Elantra, which is available in sedan and hatchback versions, and the midsize 2019 Hyundai Sonata sedan.

Both Hyundais come with great warranties, with primary coverage for five years or 60,000 miles and powertrain coverage for 10 years or 100,000 miles. The current Sonata was last redesigned for the 2015 model year and had a minor refresh in 2018. A redesigned Sonata is expected for 2020. The Elantra received its last major redesign for the 2017 model year and was refreshed for 2019.
