Ford Taurus

The Ford Taurus is a bit of an enigma in the large car class. Despite being one of the oldest models in the class, it is still a popular option among drivers. The Taurus has not been fully redesigned since 2010 – and it shows. With a cramped, dark cabin and liberal use of down-market materials, the Taurus feels a bit like the grandpa of the class. Still, grandpa has got some flair, especially if you opt for the excellent SYNC 3 infotainment system and cutting-edge advanced safety features.

Last month, almost the entire large car class saw sales gains. However, sales of the Taurus dropped about one percent. While this isn't a huge decrease, it is starker when compared with the bevy of sales increases across the market.  A base Taurus starts at just $27,345, which is one of the lowest starting prices in the class. Even better, Ford is offering up to $3,000 cash back or as low as zero percent financing until June 21.
