More on Midsize Cars

The best-rated midsize cars earn high marks from reviewers for being pleasant daily drivers with comfortable, well-made interiors, along with user-friendly technology and good fuel economy. Midsize cars with hybrid, electric, and diesel powertrains have become more common, though you’ll want to do the math to see if the fuel savings justify the price of these alternate fuel options.

Other midsize sedans may not be quite as well-rounded but are popular with reviewers for their sporty performance. The best midsize car for you will depend on what features are most important for your needs.

Our rankings are based on analysis of third party reviews. Sometimes, we are unable to find enough reviews to publish a definitive ranking. Please check back later, as we are constantly updating our reviews.

Safety scores should only be compared between vehicles of similar size and weight. Larger, heavier vehicles generally provide more protection than smaller, lighter ones.
