Land Rover’s Top Luxury SUVs Face Off

Back when standard cars were the only luxury vehicles on the road, Land Rover was known for hardy, utilitarian trucks. That began to change when the British carmaker introduced the Range Rover in 1970. It was one of the world’s first premium SUVs, and Range Rovers have gotten steadily posher over the last 50 years. Today, Range Rover is a sub-brand with four different models.

The two biggest and priciest Range Rovers are also the most similar. One is the current incarnation of the classic Range Rover, the lineup’s flagship. The other is the Range Rover Sport, which shares many design elements and mechanical components with the Range Rover, but which is a little smaller and less expensive. In this article, we’ll see how the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport compare in 11 categories – and determine which one is the overall winner.
