2013 Nissan Titan Recalls

There have been 2 safety recalls issued from NHTSA.

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC Recall Date: 09/18/2013
  • Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013 Titan and Armada vehicles manufactured February 22, 2013, through May 3, 2013. The affected vehicles have a brake master cylinder which may intermittently reduce the pressure supplied to the front brakes.
  • Potential Number of Units Affected: 3,247
  • Consequence: If the front brake pressure is reduced there would be less braking power, requiring a longer distance to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
  • Remedy: Nissan has notified owners, and dealers will replace the master cylinder, free of charge. The recall began on October 14, 2013. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
  • Notes: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov

Chemicals used in the manufacturing of the shift lever assembly may result in the malfunction of the brake shift interlock allowing the transmission shift lever to be shifted out of Park without depressing the brake pedal.
  • Potential Number of Units Affected: 2,180
  • Consequence: If the vehicle is unintentionally shifted out of park, it could roll away and lead to personal injury or a vehicle crash.
