2011 Nissan Quest Overview

In the highly competitive minivan class, the 2011 Nissan Quest can’t quite keep up with the top performers. When it was new, reviewers were impressed with the Quest’s roomy interior, sharp steering and strong brakes, as well as its smooth ride. Reviewers were satisfied with the seating comfort inside the Quest, saying that all three rows were comfortable for adults. The downside to that spaciousness is that while some minivans can seat eight, the Quest maxes out with space for seven. Cargo space is about average for the class, but test drivers took issue with the second- and third-row seats, which fold flat, but don’t lower into the floor. As a result, the Quest has limited vertical cargo space. However, reviewers did like the adept handling and powerful V6 engine, even as they complained about the transmission and occasional road noise. The Quest also carries strong safety scores.

When it was new, reviewers noted that the interior was attractive, but some felt that a few materials seemed cheap. The Quest also offered less standard features than many competitors. Cruise control, power windows, keyless entry and a four-speaker stereo with an auxiliary input and a six-disc CD changer round out the 2011 Quest’s standard features. Optional features when it was new included power-sliding doors, Bluetooth, satellite radio, a DVD entertainment system and a navigation system.

Other Cars to Consider

Also redesigned for the 2011 model year, test drivers said the 2011 Honda Odyssey has strong performance and a quality interior. The Odyssey outshines the Quest with a car-like ride that reviewers loved. Reviewers ultimately recommend the Honda Odyssey over the Quest.

The redesigned 2011 Toyota Sienna is a good option if you’re looking for a minivan that offers a comfortable interior. The Sienna can’t match the Quest’s safety scores, but the Toyota’s functional interior, ample cargo space and strong performance make it a solid choice among 2011 minivans.
