2011 Nissan Juke Overview

If you’re looking for a sporty car that’s part crossover, the 2011 Nissan Juke is a great choice. All models have a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes a lot of horsepower for the class. Car reviewers were particularly impressed with the Juke’s performance, saying that it’s quick with crisp handling. The Juke gets up to 27/32 mpg city/highway, which is slightly above average for 2011 small cars. If you’re looking for a fun-to-drive used car that offers all-wheel drive, the 2011 Juke is tough to beat. It also has the highest safety ratings in the class.

Whether or not you think the 2011 Nissan Juke looks ugly is a matter of opinion, but inside, the Juke offers a stylish interior and comfortable front seats, which should impress most drivers. However, if you need an adult-friendly back seat and a large cargo hold, you may have to look elsewhere. While the Juke offers lots of cargo space with the rear seats folded, there isn’t a lot of room for passengers or cargo when all seats are in use.

The Juke makes up for that lack of spaciousness with strong performance and a well-equipped interior. Even base models come with steering wheel-mounted audio controls, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, and a fully-loaded Juke can have features like push-button start, navigation, satellite radio and an upgraded stereo.

Other Cars to Consider

The 2011 Volkswagen Golf outshines the Juke with more interior space, though it’s not quite as sprightly. The Golf’s rear seats are comfortable for adults, and there’s a lot more cargo space. Both cars offer similar safety ratings. Fuel economy is similar in the gas-only Golf, but choosing the diesel-powered Golf TDI will get you some of the best fuel economy ratings in the class.

The 2011 Mini Cooper Clubman has great performance and a long list of nifty tech features, just like the Juke. The Cooper Clubman’s higher trims offer more power, but the base model is a smart buy if you’re looking for a fun car that doesn’t use too much fuel. You can’t get a Clubman with all-wheel drive, and like the Juke, there’s not much space behind the front seats. But if you’re looking for a car with great performance and a sharp, retro-styled exterior, the Mini Cooper Clubman should meet your needs.
