Nissan’s Building a New Z Car

For more than 50 years, Nissan's Z Cars have graced the roads of America. There's a new one on the way in 2021, and Nissan's given us a glimpse of its future with the Z Proto debut. The concept is a thinly disguised preview of the production car expected next spring.

The new Z Car promises to continue the model’s endless pursuit of driver engagement. Nissan hasn’t released much information about the production model, except that it will have a twin-turbo V6 and come standard with a manual transmission. Stick shift enthusiasts of the world, rejoice!

Reports predict the production model will be called the 400Z, but Nissan has yet to make an official proclamation.

One the following slides, we'll explore the Z Proto in-depth, and make some predictions about how the concept will translate into the next production Z Car.
