Volkswagen’s Jetta Will Be Completely Redesigned for the 2019 Model Year

The Volkswagen Jetta will enter its seventh generation with the launch of the all-new 2019 model. The compact sedan will finally join the ranks of the Golf hatchback, Passat, Tiguan, and Atlas on VW’s purpose-built, modular MQB platform.

The Jetta’s current generation dates all the way back to 2010. It’s been in need of an update for some time, due to its dated façade, subpar cabin materials, and lack of up-to-date infotainment and safety technology. The 2018 Jetta falls in the bottom third of our compact car rankings.

It seems Volkswagen took notice and made plans to deliver a vastly improved Jetta for the 2019 model year. The all-new compact car features modern styling, increased interior space, an upgraded cabin, and state-of-the-art technology, all while boasting a reduced price tag.
