Competition

The Nautilus is a welcome replacement for the MKX, as Lincoln will need all the help it can get to compete with the extremely competitive core of luxury midsize SUVs. This includes the Lexus RX 350 (pictured above) and Acura MDX (pictured above), and to some degree the Cadillac XT5 (pictured above).

The Lexus RX 350 (MSRP $43,270) provides an incredibly smooth ride and many standard safety features, but it features less cargo space and lower safety scores than some rivals.

The Acura MDX (MSRP $44,200) comes standard with a host of comfort features and has great fuel economy for the class. It strikes a nice blend of a smooth ride and sharp handling.

If you’re looking for an American luxury option, the Cadillac XT5 (MSRP $39,995) has an extensive list of high-tech safety features, a high-quality cabin, and a smooth highway ride. But its looks are polarizing, and its handling is rather dull.
