15) 2018 Nissan Frontier SL
Price: $33,560
The most expensive 2018 Nissan Frontier is still the least expensive top trim level of any pickup on the market. It’s only available as a crew cab, but it has nearly every feature Nissan offers for this compact pickup, including the Utili-track system for keeping the bed neat. Inside, you’ll find standard leather seats and a 10-speaker Rockford Fosgate sound system.
14) 2019 GMC Canyon Denali
Price: $40,400
The 2019 GMC Canyon sees some new standard features for the new model year, and pretty much every one of them is in the Denali. This top-tier trim only comes in a crew cab, but you can choose either a short or long bed. Four-wheel drive is also optional for this trim. Standard equipment for the Denali includes driver assistance systems, navigation, the IntelliLink infotainment system, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
13) 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2
Price: $41,300
The 2019 Chevy Colorado ZR2 is built for hardcore off roading. A V6 engine and four-wheel drive are standard equipment, which isn’t that unusual for a top trim level. But this truck comes with serious off-road cred, like driver-selectable full-locking front and rear differentials, a transfer case shield, and rocker protection. There’s also an off-road appearance package, so this truck looks tough even parked at the curb in town with nary a speck of mud along its side.
12) 2019 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition
Price: $43,420
The 2019 Honda Ridgeline is already one of the best compact pickups out there, and you can fancy it up even more with the Black Edition, which includes every feature available plus a cool – and exclusive – black-on-black-on-black color scheme inside and out. Standard features for this trim include all-wheel drive, an audio system in the bed of the truck for maximum tailgating, and a full suite of advanced driver assistance technology.
11) 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro
Price: $49,645
The TRD Pro trim was unavailable for the 2018 Tundra, so if you missed Toyota’s ultimate off-roading truck last year, you’ll be happy to see it’s back for the new model year. There’s only one trim level for the top-of-the-line 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, and its price is just shy of $50,000.
Pretty much everything is standard for this truck, including a 5.7-liter V8 and four-wheel drive. There are no available packages to add, though you can upgrade things like the headlights and spray-on bedliner.
10) 2019 Ram 1500 Limited
Price: $53,440
The redesigned 2019 Ram 1500 is already one of the best pickups out there this year. Its starting price is higher than some rivals, but the top-tier Limited is in line with other high-end trims.
Its standard features include a V6 engine, wireless device charging, and the UConnect infotainment system with a 12-inch screen and navigation. There are plenty of upgrades to be bought, though, including a V8 Hemi, a Harman Kardon sound system, and more advanced driver assistance technologies.
9) 2019 GMC Sierra Denali
Price: $54,395
The 2019 GMC Sierra was redesigned, including the top trim Denali. Like many trucks at this price point, the standard equipment list is similar to what you might expect to see in a luxury car. The Denali has standard wireless charging, navigation, and a long list of safety features, including rear cross traffic alert.
Notable options for the Denali are few, as it already comes with so much, including a 5.3-liter V8 and four-wheel drive. The front seats are heated and cooled, and the rear seat is heated as well. You can always dress it up with options like a new set of wheels or a sunroof.
8) 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country
Price: $54,795
The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500’s top-of-the-line High Country trim has a power up-and-down tailgate, which Chevy says is a first in this class.
Features in this trim include heated and ventilated front seats, a 4G Wi-Fi hot spot, and rear cross traffic alert.
7) 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD High Country
Price: $57,395
Bigger trucks have bigger price tags, and the 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD is no exception. The High Country trim comes with a suite of driver assistance features, including front and rear park assist. The infotainment system has navigation and smartphone integration, plus wireless device charging and Bose speakers.
The High Country also comes with plenty of interior and exterior bits found only on this trim, like body-color front and rear bumpers and exclusive interior colors.
6) 2018 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali
Price: $57,895
For this price, you can choose the 2018 GMC Sierra 3500HD with the Denali trim or the 2500HD Denali. You also can pick if you want a single-wheel or dual-wheel rear axle 3500HD Denali. If you’re going to choose a pickup this large, why on earth wouldn’t you get the dually for the same price?
You can add four-wheel drive to the 3500HD Denali, and there are three engines to choose from, including a V8 turbo diesel. The infotainment system has an 8-inch screen and navigation plus wireless device charging, and the front seats are of course heated and cooled.
5) 2018 Nissan Titan XD Platinum Reserve
Price: $64,110
The 2018 Nissan Titan XD Platinum Reserve with a Cummins diesel engine and four-wheel drive is the most expensive base price in this truck’s lineup. Nissan ups the luxury-level ante by adding proximity activation, which means the puddle lights, headlights, and cargo lights come on when it detects that the key is nearby.
There are plenty of the expected luxuries at this price point too, such as climate-controlled seats, though some features have to be added, like a Wi-Fi hot spot.
4) 2018 Ram 3500 Laramie Longhorn
Price: $59,645
At just $100 more than the 2018 Limited trim, the 2018 Ram 3500 Laramie Longhorn with four-wheel drive takes the prize as most expensive trim level for this truck. It features real wood interior accents, a spray-on bedliner, and laser-etched leather front seats.
Again, if you add the Mega Cab, the price jumps, but only by $1,300.
3) 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD High Country Dually
Price: $61,595
If you’re going to go big with your pickup, go really big. The 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500HD High Country with dual rear wheels is the most expensive of the bunch. It has all the features available for the Silverado inside and out, including a spray-on bedliner and a Bose sound system. The Driver Alert safety system is standard, along with power adjustable pedals and chrome steps to help you climb into this monster.
2) 2019 Ford F-150 Limited
Price: $67,135
You may have been wondering where the best-selling truck in America was on this list. We’ve finally arrived at the 2019 Ford F-150 way up here near the top of the list, where the Limited trim starts at nearly $70,000. Top Truck Trims Blend Luxury and Utility
Anyone who has shopped for a truck knows the endless ways that they can be configured. You can choose different seating arrangements in different cabs; bed lengths and cargo-wrangling systems; and high- or low-tech interiors. That’s not even counting the decision to opt for a fuel-efficient engine for trips to the hardware store or a high-power engine for hauling heavy equipment.
If you choose the top-end trim, however, some of these decisions are made for you. There are fewer options and packages because they already include everything but the kitchen sink as standard equipment. You’ll get the best seating, the latest safety technology, and luxury touches like branded leather upholstery and real wood trim at this price point.
Bigger trucks have bigger price tags, of course. The highest trim on the trucks that can haul the most stuff are going to be the most expensive on the market. That said, there’s a $50,000-plus difference between our least expensive and most expensive pickups on this list. Read on to find out more about these pricey pickups.
