The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class has a plush cabin with an attractive design and first-rate materials, according to critics. Test drivers like its supportive front seats, but write that its rear seats lack adequate headroom for taller adults. They also complain that the CLS-Class’ infotainment system has complicated controls.

The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class seats four and comes standard with leather upholstery, 14-way power-adjustable front seats and heated front seats. Available features include a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats and a driver seat that has a massage function and can automatically adjust to keep you in place during cornering. Auto writers say the CLS-Class’ front seats are supportive and comfortable on long trips. However, they write that taller adults may not be comfortable in the back seats because the CLS-Class’ sloping roofline limits headroom.

Interior Features

Standard features in the CLS400 include navigation, Bluetooth, a USB port, an auxiliary audio input, HD Radio, a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, forward collision warning with automatic braking, driver drowsiness monitoring and Mercedes’ COMAND infotainment system, which includes an 8-inch display screen and a central control knob. Available features include a Harman Kardon or Bang & Olufsen audio system, satellite radio, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, a rearview camera, a surround-view camera system and parallel park assist.

According to critics, the COMAND system’s central control knob isn’t intuitive, and basic audio and navigation functions require multiple steps. Test drivers also note that connecting your smartphone via Bluetooth is unnecessarily complex because you must pair the phone twice: once as a phone, and once as a media device.
