2008 Mazda Mazda5 Warranty

Mazda offers a basic warranty for three years or 36,000 miles. The Mazda5 also comes with a powertrain warranty that covers the first five years or 60,000 miles.

Reliability data is scarce for the wagon as it is only a year old, but several mention "sales momentum of the Mazda5 was hurt in fall 2005 when the vehicle was recalled because of reports of fires connected to the exhaust system," as MSN reports. "Mazda has since corrected the problem, which flared when drivers with manual transmissions kept their vehicles in lower gears during highway-speed driving."
