The 2019 Mazda3 has an upscale interior with a solid build quality. Infotainment features are straightforward and user-friendly. The front seats are comfortable, but taller passengers will likely feel cramped in the back seats.

The Mazda3 seats five people on standard cloth upholstery. Options include synthetic or genuine leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and heated front seats. The Mazda3 has two complete sets of rear-seat LATCH connections. The front seats are comfortable and supportive, but taller drivers may find headroom a bit lacking. The second row is more cramped, and entry and egress is tight.

Interior Features

Standard features in the 2019 Mazda3 include a 7-inch driver information display, push-button start, a rearview camera, and an infotainment system with an 8.8-inch display, an eight-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, HD Radio, and two USB ports.

Optional features include dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system, satellite radio, a moonroof, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Quite a few advanced safety features are available, including automatic high beams, adaptive headlights, adaptive cruise control, driver attention and drowsiness monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and a head-up display.

The Mazda3's infotainment system uses an intuitive rotary controller on the center console. Menus are easy to navigate through, and shortcut icons help you quickly adjust commonly used functions.
