2021 Mazda CX-9 Prices

Very Slow Sales: The CX-9 was the single slowest-selling midsize SUV in 2020. Even the second-slowest seller, the Buick Enclave, outperformed the CX-9 on dealership lots by nearly 30 percent last year. Class leaders like the Ford Explorer and Toyota Highlander outsold the CX-9 by over 7 to 1 in 2020.

Above Average Base Price: In the highly competitive midsize SUV segment, the CX-9’s $33,960 base MSRP is about $2,400 above the class average for similarly equipped models. On the top end, however, a fully-loaded CX-9 is in line with the segment average for top trims.

Time to Buy: Given the CX-9’s terribly slow sales, you should have some bargaining leverage at the dealership.
