2013 Lincoln Navigator Overview

The 2013 Lincoln Navigator has a standard V8 engine, and while some test drivers said it generally has enough power, others thought it feels sluggish compared with competitors and can struggle to accelerate when loaded with passengers and cargo. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard. The 2013 Navigator gets up to an EPA-estimated 14/20 mpg city/highway, which is in line with the class’ estimates. Automotive writers reported that the Navigator offers a cushioned ride, but they said its wide turning radius makes it difficult to maneuver in small spaces. A handful or reviewers liked its responsive steering.

While some test drivers praised the leather and wood trim that line the 2013 Lincoln Navigator's cabin, others reported that many other cabin materials seem low-rent. With the available second-row bench seat, the Navigator has seating for up to eight. Leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats and a heated second row are standard. Some test drivers mentioned that the third row is one of the most spacious in the class. The 2013 Navigator comes standard with a 14-speaker THX sound system, touch-screen navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera and Lincoln’s voice-activated SYNC system, which includes Bluetooth and a USB port. A power moonroof and a rear-seat entertainment system are available. Critics complained that the navigation system is hard to see in daylight and isn’t very easy to use. The standard wheelbase Navigator has up to 103.3 cubic feet of overall cargo space behind the first row. The long-wheelbase Navigator L has up to 128.2 cubic feet. A power liftgate is standard. The 2013 Navigator has a good amount of cargo space for the class, and test drivers appreciated its available power-folding third row for making it easy to expand the cargo area.

Other SUVs to Consider

The 2013 Infiniti QX56 is easy to pilot into parking spaces and impressed reviewers with its powerfulV8 engine. Test drivers added that it has an intuitive navigation system and available 360-degree camera system that is useful for parking in small spaces.

Reviewers liked the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser's premium, well-made interior and comfortable first- and second-row seats. They also enjoyed its ample engine power and great off-road capability.
