Some critics say that the interior of the 2014 Lexus CT Hybrid is not as luxurious as in other Lexus models, though most report that the materials and design are very good for an upscale small car. Some elements of the CT Hybrid’s interior let reviewers down, including the frustrating Remote Touch infotainment controller, a cargo area that’s small for a hatchback and a cramped rear seat.

The 2014 Lexus CT Hybrid seats five and comes standard with leatherette upholstery and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Available features include leather upholstery and heated front seats. Automotive journalists say the CT Hybrid’s front seats are roomy and supportive, but the back seats are unusually small, even for children.

Interior Features

The 2014 CT Hybrid comes with a moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, a proximity key, push-button start, a six-speaker stereo, satellite radio, a USB/iPod port and Bluetooth phone and music streaming. Available features include a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, a 10-speaker stereo system and a redesigned navigation system with Lexus’ Remote Touch infotainment interface, which operates similarly to a computer mouse.

Reviewers say the CT Hybrid has nicely lit gauges that are easy to read and controls that are easy to use. Automotive journalists add that the optional infotainment/navigation system has a large, centrally located screen, but they complain that the mouse-like Remote Touch controller is too touchy, making it difficult to change the system’s settings when you’re on the move.

The Lexus CT Hybrid has 14.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind its 60/40-split-folding rear seats, which is good for an upscale small car, but not great for a hatchback. Critics say the CT Hybrid’s high cargo floor restricts the height of items you can put in the cargo area. Test drivers also mention that the cabin lacks storage spaces, and that the glove box and door bins are fairly small.
