Lexus Makes Improvements to the 3-Row Version of Its Popular Luxury SUV

With the original RX, introduced way back in 1998, Lexus was one of the first automakers to create a luxury SUV that had car-like driving manners and a strong emphasis on comfort versus all-terrain prowess. Over the years, the RX has become one of the most popular midsize luxury SUVs. This is down to a number of attributes, from its quiet engine and posh cabin to its excellent reputation for reliability and strong safety scores.

Really, there’s not much to dislike about the current RX. But this hasn’t stopped Lexus from making the new one better in some important areas. That’s because Lexus can’t afford to be complacent in a crowded field that includes rivals like the Acura MDX, Lincoln Nautilus, BMW X5, Audi Q7, and Mercedes-Benz GLE. With every new model year, the field for luxury SUVs is growing and getting more competitive.

The RX L model is a relatively new addition to the lineup and provides RX buyers with the added flexibility of having a third row. Here’s a quick roundup of all that’s new and improved with this seven-passenger sport-utility.
