Buying Advice

Last Updated: February 6, 2020

Low, but Rising Demand: Sales of the redesigned Range Rover Evoque ended in the lower half among luxury subcompact SUVs last year. However, Evoque sales increased by 16.3 percent in 2019 relative to 2018.

Very High Prices: The Evoque's high starting price could be one reason buyers are staying away. The base model costs $42,650, and is the highest in the segment. A fully-loaded Evoque with a $56,850 price tag is the priciest in the class and $3,900 more than the second most expensive top-of-the-line trim, the Jaguar E-Pace.

Time to Buy: Low sales numbers mean you may be able to negotiate a better price, but we suggest checking out some of your other options before you decide to buy or lease the Evoque. For a lower price, consider the Volvo XC40 or the BMW X1, both of which are ranked higher in the segment and start at least $7,700 below the Land Rover.
