The all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator's interior offers a great blend of form and function. It looks good, provides plenty of room, and has everything the driver needs within easy reach. And to emphasize that this truck is meant to be put through its paces, the Gladiator has removable carpet and drain plugs in its interior so that you can hose out the cabin after any rugged outings you may enjoy.
Both rows of seats are comfortable and have plenty of room. The rear seats are especially expansive, offering more space than almost every other truck in the class. There's plenty of standard and available technology, including a user-friendly infotainment system. With its removeable top and doors, the Gladiator also turns into a convertible.
The Jeep Gladiator seats five people and comes standard with cloth seats. Premium cloth upholstery, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel are available. There are two full sets of LATCH connectors in the rear outboard seats.
In either row of seats, you'll find plenty of head- and legroom. The rear seats are among the roomiest in the segment, and tall adults can fit back there with little difficulty. The generous accommodations are nice, but what really helps the Gladiator stand out are its supportive and comfortable seats. Driver visibility is excellent as well.
The Gladiator comes standard with a folding soft top with a sunroof feature, a rearview camera, and the Uconnect infotainment system with a 5-inch touch screen, an eight-speaker audio system, two USB ports, and Bluetooth.
Available features include power windows and locks, a premium soft top, two different hard tops, a forward-facing off-road camera, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Available infotainment features include a 7- or 8.4-inch touch screen, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, satellite radio, HD Radio, navigation (included with the 8.4-inch screen), a removable Bluetooth speaker, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and additional USB ports.
Available active safety features include blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
Every Gladiator comes standard with the Uconnect infotainment system, which is one of the best in the business. It's intuitive and user-friendly, and the touch screen responds quickly to inputs. Upgrading beyond the base system gets you more smartphone connectivity tech, and at the highest Uconnect level, an excellent navigation system. In addition to the touch screen, there are physical controls for audio and climate functions, all of which are well-placed and easy to reach. One unique feature the Gladiator offers is a detachable Bluetooth speaker, which is waterproof and gives you yet another way to enjoy your favorite music at tailgate parties, while camping, or on the beach.
Much like the Jeep Wrangler, the Gladiator lets you remove the top and doors, essentially turning your truck into a convertible. But that's not the only party trick that sets this Jeep apart from other trucks – you can also fold down the windshield. A header bar connects the front window pillars, allowing the rearview mirror to remain in place even with the windshield down. All of the tools required for these transformations come in a handy kit that stores neatly in the cabin.

The Gladiator features a 5-foot bed, which is a couple of inches shorter than what you'll find on most other compact pickup trucks. Like the Honda Ridgeline, the Gladiator offers only one bed, which is not the norm for pickups. However, it does offer a few bed features, including an in-bed 115-volt household-style power outlet, a bumper step, and an adjustable rail-based tie-down system.
Your needs will largely determine how much you like the Gladiator's bed. It can fit sheets of plywood between the bed walls, but not between the wheel wells (something some rivals can do). The bed rails are low, making it easy to reach over the sides when loading and unloading cargo. Of course, low bed rails also mean that larger coolers and similar items won't fit under the tonneau cover, but you can just roll that back if you need to. One nifty feature the Gladiator offers is its three-stage tailgate, which can lock into a halfway-down position. That's a convenient feature when hauling longer items.
This Jeep offers a fair amount of storage space in the cabin as well. There's space underneath the rear seat, and there's also a lockable storage area behind the rear seat. A removable under-seat bin is optional.
