Buying Advice

Last Updated: March 8, 2019

Rising Demand: Jeep dealerships have sold 16.1 percent more Cherokee models this year relative to the same span in 2018, and it’s currently in the top half of the compact SUV sales race. The Cherokee is selling neck-and-neck with its stablemate, the Jeep Wrangler.

Average Base Price: The Cherokee starts at $24,795, which is about average for the class. The top trim model, however, is expensive for the segment with a price of $38,245.

Time to Buy: Strong sales and excitement over the refreshed 2019 model mean finding a great deal on the Cherokee may be more difficult than usual right now. This month's Jeep deals may help you save some cash though. For an even lower price, consider the Hyundai Tucson, which starts almost $2,000 below the Cherokee.
