The 2020 Infiniti Q60 features a robust engine and a comfortable ride. Handling is composed, and fuel economy estimates are average when compared with other luxury small cars with V6 engines.
There are two versions of the Q60's 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. The base variant in the Pure and Luxe models makes 300 horsepower. The Red Sport trim gets a retuned version that boosts horsepower to 400. A seven-speed automatic transmission is standard.
Both engines are robust. In its base setup, this V6 is more than capable of city and highway cruising. The more-powerful version in the Red Sport helps deliver prompt acceleration whenever you need it.
The base engine gets 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Compared with the class as a whole, these numbers are below average. The Red Sport variant isn’t much better: 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. However, if you compare these numbers to luxury small cars with V6 engines, the Q60’s ratings are about average.
The Q60 has a smooth ride. It’s a little stiff but not uncomfortably so. Great road grip and strong brakes help this Infiniti stay composed. The available adaptive steering, however, feels numb. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available.
