2020 Infiniti Q60 Interior

U.S. News Best Price Program

2020 Infiniti Q60 Interior Review

Interior: 5.8

The 2020 Infiniti Q60 has high-quality cabin materials with wood and leather accents. The seats are comfortable, but rear-seat headroom is tight. The trunk is one of the smallest in the class, and the infotainment system can be hard to use while driving.

  • "Inside, the Q60 offers attractive and high-quality materials." -- Car and Driver
  • "You'll find an unusually high number of materials in the cabin but plenty of soft touch points." -- Edmunds (2019)

The Q60 seats up to four people. Synthetic leather upholstery and eight-way power-adjustable front seats are standard. Genuine leather upholstery, heated front seats, front sport seats, and a power-adjustable heated steering wheel are available.

The front seats are comfortable with plenty of room to stretch out. Legroom in the back is pretty good too, but headroom is cramped. It’s also tricky to access the rear seats, and adults won’t want to be back there for more than just short jaunts around town, if then.

For securing child safety seats, the Q60 has two full sets of LATCH connectors for the rear outboard seats.

  • "The coupe … lacks the stretch-out space that many others in this class offer, which contributes to an interior that feels cramped. Still, the Q60 can be equipped with an assortment of desirable features such as upgraded leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a power-adjustable steering wheel." -- Car and Driver
  • "Access to the front seats is easy and space is plentiful – not so much for the back seats, which are too small to really be usable." -- Edmunds (2019)
  • "The front seats are comfortable with good support. The rear seats have better legroom than most coupes, but headroom is severely restricted – most adult rear passengers will be forced to sit in a crouched position." -- Consumer Guide (2017)

Interior Features

The Infiniti Q60 comes standard with two infotainment touch screens: an 8-inch upper display and a 7-inch lower display. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, two USB ports, a six-speaker stereo, satellite radio, HD Radio, and Bluetooth also come standard. Push-button start, proximity keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a rearview camera are standard as well.

The dual-screen infotainment system can be hard to use, as it takes some time to master. Both displays are touch screens, but the upper screen can also be controlled with a rotary knob. Another issue with the system is the lag you experience between input and execution.

Available equipment includes navigation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a 13-speaker Bose stereo, remote start, two rear-seat USB ports, and a moonroof.

Optional safety features include lane keep assist, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Pedestrian detection, a following distance indicator, a surround-view parking camera system, and adaptive cruise control are also available.

  • "Unfortunately, the Q60's standard dual-screen infotainment system is convoluted. The top and bottom screens respond to touch inputs, but the upper screen can also be manipulated via a rotary controller on the center console." -- Car and Driver
  • "In contrast to that all-digital dash, the Q60 still relies on a set of analog gauges. Those units are easy to read, but seem out of place in a vehicle that puts such a heavy emphasis on technology." -- Left Lane News (2017)
  • "For audiophiles, a 13-speaker Bose sound system belts out clear and crisp tunes that you control through the Infiniti InTouch infotainment interface, that was also first seen on the Q50, consisting of dual center touchscreens. The Q60's InTouch system is upgraded with a more powerful processor, which is evident in how quickly it pages through the various navigation, audio, climate and car setting menus. On my drive, the system did hiccup a couple of times and not respond to inputs, requiring additional screen taps." -- CNET (2017)

The Q60 has an 8.7-cubic-foot trunk, which is small for a luxury small car. The rear seats can fold down to provide a little more room.

  • "We managed to fit three carry-on bags in its trunk and another seven with the rear seat folded." -- Car and Driver
  • "The trunk is small, even for a luxury coupe." -- Edmunds (2019)
  • "The trunk is … smallish but typical and perfectly useful size." -- Autoblog (2017)
