The 2010 Infiniti FX's interior is luxurious and packed with innovative features. "FX's interior exudes the feel of understated luxury with its top-notch materials and near-seamless fits," writes Consumer Guide. "The cabin is filled with leather surfaces and lined with wood and metal trim that impart an upscale, classy feel." However, the FX lacks utility in the rear seat and cargo area, which means it may not be the best family vehicle.

Interior Features

The FX is king in the features department, offering more optional gadgets than most SUVs. However, the sheer number of sophisticated systems can make the dashboard controls a bit intimidating. Standard features include a full leather interior, dual-zone automatic climate control, XM Satellite Radio, a Bose audio system, a six-CD changer and a rear view monitor. A 9.3-Gigabyte Music Box hard drive and Infiniti's Hard Drive Navigation System are standard on the FX50, optional on the FX35.

For families with children, Infiniti offers a Mobile Entertainment System with a DVD player and ceiling-mounted, flip-down nine-inch color screen.

The 2010 Infiniti FX provides 24.8 cubic feet of cargo volume with all seats in use and 62.0 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down, which is not enough for most reviewers. If you're looking for an SUV with more utility, the Acura MDX boasts 83.5 cubic feet of room with its second and third rows folded down. Storage spaces in the FX include a front armrest with dual-level storage compartment and dual front/rear cupholders.
