However, they said the Elantra Touring needs more power on the highway, especially when it's loaded down with passengers or cargo. The Elantra Touring is available with an automatic transmission, but reviewers liked the manual transmission that comes standard. The Elantra Touring gets 26 mpg combined with either transmission, which is high for the class. Test drivers said the Elantra Touring handles nicely around turns, but also that it isn’t particularly sporty.

Reviewers liked the spacious and practical interior of the 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring. They also said the supportive seating throughout the Elantra Touring is comfortable for all passengers. With the rear seats folded, the Elantra Touring has 65.3 cubic feet for cargo, or 24.3 cubic feet with all the seats in use, which is small for the class.
