2018 Jeep Wrangler

The all-new Jeep Wrangler comes standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that features a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. It will provide the vehicle with more instant torque, improved efficiency, and the ability to capture energy through regenerative braking. Jeep recently revealed plans for a plug-in hybrid Wrangler for 2020; the mild hybrid is the automaker’s first step toward electrification.

The combination puts out 270 horsepower, which is less than the outgoing model’s base V6. However, with its turbocharger, mild-hybrid technology, and 295 pound-feet of torque, it responds more quickly and feels faster. The new Wrangler will go on sale starting in January of 2018.
