2010 Hummer H3T Overview

Reviewers gave the 2010 Hummer H3T a lot of praise for its off-road capability, but they also said it doesn't have the most comfortable ride on paved streets. The H3T comes standard with a five-cylinder engine, which reviewers found sufficient for low-speed city driving, but most preferred the power from the H3T’s available V8. Five-cylinder models come standard with a manual transmission, and offer an available automatic, while the V8 model comes standard with an automatic transmission. A five-cylinder H3T achieves 14/18 mpg city/highway, while V8 models get 13/16, which are low ratings for the class. All H3Ts have a full-time four-wheel drive system, which is rare for the class. The H3T can tow up to 5,900 pounds, which is less than what some rivals in the class can tow.

The H3T is a five-seat crew cab pickup, and most reviewers were pleased with the design, space and comfort in the cabin. The base H3T comes with a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio, cruise control, power windows and door locks and Bluetooth. Available features include leather seats, heated and power-adjustable front seats, a Monsoon premium audio system, navigation, a power sunroof and a backup camera.

Other Trucks to Consider

Reviewers said the 2010 Toyota Tacoma is a well-rounded truck with a comfortable ride and a high-quality interior. While it isn’t as capable off-road, the Tacoma can tow heavier loads and uses less fuel.

Refined driving dynamics and a powerful V6 engine pleased reviewers who drove the 2010 Nissan Frontier. The Frontier can also tow more than the H3T when properly equipped.
