Test drivers agree that the 2014 Honda Civic Hybrid’s mix of hard- and soft-touch materials give the cabin a classy look. The front seats are long-haul comfortable, test drivers report, and the back seat feels roomier than that of some rivals. Some say the audio system’s touch-screen display can complicate audio adjustments since there are no knobs for volume or tuning.

The five-seat Honda Civic Hybrid comes with a tilt and telescoping steering wheel. Optional features include leather seats, heated front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Test drivers say the Civic Hybrid’s front seats are comfortable, even on long trips, and provide adequate room. The back seat is particularly spacious with more head- and legroom than some rivals, they note.

Interior Features

The Honda Civic Hybrid comes with a six-speaker CD audio system with a 7-inch touch-screen display, Bluetooth, a USB port, a rearview camera, push-button start, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and Pandora Internet radio compatibility. Also standard is Honda LaneWatch, which uses a camera mounted under the passenger side mirror to show the driver what’s in his or her blind spot. Available features include voice-controlled navigation, a multi-angle rearview camera, satellite radio and HD Radio.

Reviewers say the Civic Hybrid has a generous amount of features. Some find the dashboard controls are intuitive and easy to use, while others say the audio system’s touch-screen display can complicate audio adjustments since there are no knobs for volume or tuning.

The 2014 Honda Civic Hybrid has 10.7 cubic feet of trunk space, which is less than rival gas-only sedans’ but similar to what other small hybrids like the Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid offer. The rear seats don’t fold down and test drivers are disappointed with the Civic Hybrid’s small trunk. There’s plenty of room to store odds and ends in the center console, they say.
