QX60 vs. RX: Which Luxury Midsize SUV Should You Buy?

The Infiniti QX60 and the Lexus RX 350 are two of the most popular midsize SUVs on the market. Though there are a lot of reasons to consider both, many buyers may feel a strong preference for one over another. The differences start at passenger capacity (seven for the 3-row QX60 and five for the 2-row RX 350) and go on from there.

The 2017 RX 350 has earned a reputation for having one of the most luxurious cabins in the class, and the RX lineup – one of the earliest car-based luxury crossover lineups – is responsible for increasing the popularity of a number of innovations that are now taken for granted in the class, such as touch-screen displays and all-wheel drive. The RX 350 was just redesigned for 2016 and sees a couple of updates this year. The 2017 model is the winner of our Best Luxury 2-Row SUV for the Money award and a finalist for our Best Luxury 2-Row SUV for Families award.

The current Infiniti QX60 was introduced in 2013 (it was then known as the JX35) and enjoys a couple updates for 2017.The 2017 QX60 is the winner of our 2017 Best Luxury 3-Row SUV for Families award and a finalist for our 2017 Best Luxury 3-Row SUV for the Money award, despite a mediocre showing in our luxury midsize SUV rankings.
