The 2019 Ford Ranger has a generally unimpressive interior quality and a somewhat dated design. Its front seats are pleasant, and second-row space in extended SuperCrew models is generous. Infotainment and tech features are straightforward and user-friendly.

The Ford Ranger seats four people in its standard SuperCab model and five in the optional SuperCrew cab. Cloth upholstery and four-way manually adjustable front seats are standard, while premium cloth, vinyl, and leather upholstery are optional. Eight-way power-adjustable, heated front seats, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are also optional. The Ranger has two complete sets of rear LATCH car-seat connections.

The front seats in the Ranger are supportive and comfortable, and they offer a commanding forward view. The rear seats in the SuperCab are tiny and cramped, while SuperCrew models offer a good amount of back-seat space for adults.

Interior Features

Standard features in the 2019 Ford Ranger include a USB port, a six-speaker stereo, a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot, and the voice-controlled SYNC infotainment system with a 4.2-inch display screen. The Ranger also comes with a rearview camera, Ford's MyKey system, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.

Optional features include cruise control, power locks, a 110-volt power outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control, the SYNC 3 touch-screen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, satellite radio, navigation, remote start, proximity key entry, push-button start, HD Radio, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. Optional safety features include front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, driver attention monitoring, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist.

The standard SYNC system with voice commands is easy to use, though some critics bemoan the small screen. The optional touch screen is larger and intuitive, with clear menus and quick processing times. There are large physical buttons and knobs for other adjustments like audio and temperature controls.
