Ford’s Pony Car Has a New Stablemate

A new Mustang is coming to America's roads, but it's not like any Mustang you've seen before. Ford’s expanding the Mustang family with a new high-performance battery-electric crossover SUV. It’s instantly identifiable as a Mustang with its exterior cues, but that’s about as deep as the similarities go.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E will be available in several configurations, including standard- and extended-range models with either rear- or all-wheel drive. At the top of the line will be the Mustang Mach-E GT, with exceptional performance, including a mid-three-second zero-to-60 mph time.

On the following pages, we’ll look at the all-new vehicle and how its features and preliminary specs stack up against the competition. We’ll be sticking to the information Ford has released, as automotive journalists haven’t had a chance to get behind the wheel, and no independent driving impressions have been published.

All specifications shown in this story are preliminary and may change as production approaches.
