Ford Reveals More Details About the 2018 F-150’s New Diesel Trim

Ford sold 896,764 F-Series pickup trucks in 2017. In the U.S., the F-Series is the top-selling truck, as well as the top-selling vehicle overall. This achievement marks 41 straight years as the country’s best-selling pickup, as well as 36 consecutive years as America’s vehicle sales champion.

Ford is able to continue this incredible run by improving its truck to class-topping standards year after year. The 2018 F-150 is a prime example of the automaker’s diligence. This year’s F-150 ups the ante by exceeding the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra in achieving best-in-class towing capacity. Additionally, it remains the leader for payload, horsepower, and torque, while commanding class-leading fuel economy.

Now, Ford has provided further details about its upcoming turbodiesel engine option. The automaker is already lauded for its heavy-duty Power Stroke diesel V8 trucks, but this will be the first time a diesel finds its way into the half-ton F-150.
