A Wild, Off-Road Legend Returns

Walk around the showroom of any major automaker today and you'll likely notice a pattern: most spots are taken by bland sedans and milquetoast, cookie-cutter crossovers and SUVs. Even luxury marques bet big on producing vehicles with widespread appeal.

However, there are still vehicles out there that cater to niche buyers. Whether it's muscle cars, small coupes, or off-road-oriented SUVs, many brands still offer a model or two with heart and soul. Ford is adding to its stable of narrowly focused vehicles with the all-new Bronco SUV.

In reviving what can only be described as a legendary nameplate, the Bronco aims to appeal to shoppers who prioritize adventure over all else. Ford launches the Bronco with standard four-wheel drive (of course), two lively engine options, and in two- and four-door body styles. There's also a smaller Bronco Sport, which we'll cover in a separate article.

On the following slides, we'll get into most details of the new Bronco and what it means for Ford's lineup, as well as consumers looking for some of the most fun you can have off pavement.

U.S. News & World Report was able to get an exclusive in-person look at a preproduction two-door Bronco model just days after Ford conducted its worldwide reveal. Click through the slideshow to see official Ford media images of the Bronco, as well as our firsthand content.
