What Does Fiat's Certified Pre-Owned Warranty Cover?

Fiat offers a certified pre-owned program for vehicles five years old or less and with fewer than 75,000 miles. Eligibility is determined by the vehicle’s initial sale date. For its certified pre-owned vehicles, Fiat extends the original new-car powertrain warranty to seven years from the original sale date or 100,000 miles. CPO vehicles also get a three-month/3,000-mile Maximum Coverage Care warranty. Additional benefits are available, including a 90-day SiriusXM satellite radio trial subscription, a CarFax vehicle history report, 24-hour towing and roadside assistance, and a car rental allowance. There are mileage and model restrictions, so read the Fiat warranty page carefully.

Fiat has one of the worst CPO programs among affordable carmakers, according to our analysis. Kia, Hyundai, Chevy, Ford, Honda, and Mazda are all better.

2019 Fiat 500X Versus the Competition

Which Is Better: 2019 Fiat 500X or 2019 Jeep Renegade?

The 2019 Jeep Renegade was built on the same platform as the Fiat, and the two crossover SUVs have a lot in common. However, the Jeep is the better pick. These vehicles share powertrains and infotainment systems, but the Jeep’s gentler ride, greater off-road capability, and larger cargo hold give it the edge over the Fiat.

Which Is Better: 2019 Fiat 500X or 2019 Mazda CX-3?

The 2019 Mazda CX-3 is a much better subcompact SUV than the Fiat. It comes with a premium cabin, class-leading agility, and more total cargo space than the 500X. The Mazda has superior mpg ratings and a gentler ride too. The CX-3 lacks Android Auto or Apple CarPlay compatibility, but in most other respects, it’s the better choice.

2019 500X Performance

How Does the 2019 Fiat 500X Drive?

For 2019, there’s one engine in this Fiat, a potent turbocharged four-cylinder that packs a lot of punch. While this engine delivers more than enough power for daily driving, it also makes a lot of noise. The standard nine-speed automatic transmission makes responsive shifts.

Standard all-wheel drive helps the 500X navigate slippery conditions, but numb steering and grabby brakes limit its sportiness. The Fiat’s ride can feel stiff on uneven pavement.

  • Engine: 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 177 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque
  • Drivetrain: all-wheel drive
  • Transmission: nine-speed automatic
Does the 2019 Fiat 500X Get Good Gas Mileage?

This crossover’s EPA estimates of 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway are slightly below average for the class. However, the 500X comes standard with all-wheel drive, which is not the case with most competitors. Compared to rivals with AWD, the 500X’s estimates are about average.

How Many People Does the 2019 500X Seat?

The 2019 500X seats five people in two rows. The front seats are very comfortable, and there’s even height adjustment for the front passenger seat, which isn't always offered in this class. However, there’s not much legroom in the back seat, and a small rear window and bulky roof pillars reduce visibility.

This vehicle’s cabin is full of stylish, soft-touch materials. It’s more lavish than what you’ll find in many rivals, including the 2019 Jeep Renegade.

Standard seating features:

  • Cloth upholstery
  • 60/40-split-folding rear seats

Available seating features:

  • Leather upholstery
  • Eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat
  • Heated front seats
How Many Child Car Seats Fit in the 2019 Fiat 500X?

The 2019 500X has two complete sets of LATCH car-seat connectors for the rear outboard seats and an upper tether for the rear middle seat.

2019 Fiat 500X Features

The Uconnect infotainment system is one of the most intuitive on the market, though it has a few quirks in the 500X. For instance, the clock readout vanishes when the radio is turned off.

  • Standard infotainment features: the Uconnect infotainment system, a 7-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, dual USB ports, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker stereo
  • Available infotainment features: navigation, an eight- or nine-speaker stereo, and satellite radio
  • Additional standard features: remote start and push-button start
  • Other available features: dual-zone automatic climate control and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof

On the bright side, the front passenger seat can fold flat, making it easier to carry longer items.
