When you’re not testing out its driving dynamics, you can fit the whole family and their cargo, thanks to the RS 7's hatchback design.

The super luxury Audi S8 Plus starts at $115,000. The Dynamic Package, which costs an extra $1,000, includes a sport exhaust and ceramic brakes and is capable of a 190-mph top speed. The 605-horsepower turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 goes from zero to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. You can seat five comfortably, but cargo space is slim.
2017 BMW M3 Competition

The BMW M3 comes equipped with a 425-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. Add the $4,750 Competition package and you get 19 additional horses, 20-inch forged wheels, and a retuned suspension. It can pull off a zero to 60 mph sprint in 3.9 seconds. A six-speed manual transmission is standard. The rear seats have a reasonable amount of space for a small car.
2017 BMW Alpina B6 Gran Coupe

There are two options when it comes to the BMW 6 Series. The $122,500 limited-production Alpina B6 Gran Coupe features a 600-horsepower twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine. It is capable of a 200-mph top speed and goes zero to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. The rear seats in the Gran Coupe offer more space than other 6 Series models.
For about $9,000 less ($113,700), you can get in the high-performance M6, with its 560-horsepower twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8. It comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a six-speed manual. It will get you to 60 mph in around four seconds.

Like the 6 Series, the BMW 7 Series also offers two obscenely fast choices, and you will enjoy spacious seats and class-topping cargo capacity. The top dog is the $153,800 M760i, with its 601-horsepower twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 that can take you to 60 mph in a blazing 3.6 seconds.
The second-most powerful 7 Series, the Alpina B7, “only” has 600 horsepower and a 4.4-liter V8. However, it will still race from zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. It will also save you about $17,000 ($137,000).
2017 Cadillac CTS-V

With the highly athletic Cadillac CTS-V, you get a lot of horsepower for your money, when compared to competing models. The 640-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V8 can deliver you from a stop to 60 mph in about 3.6 seconds. The base CTS was the winner of our 2017 Best Luxury Midsize Car for the Money award.
2017 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is the least expensive sedan on this list, and it tops all others in horsepower. It comes equipped with a 707-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, which is capable of a 204-mph top speed and a 3.7-second zero-to-60 mph dash. There’s room for adults in back, and it offers a decent amount of trunk space.

Mercedes says it accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and has top speed of 186 mph. Rear-seat space and cargo capacity are at a minimum.
2017 Mercedes-AMG S63

If you were hoping for a fast Mercedes with lots of space for passengers, the S-Class offers a few options, but it will cost you. The top-of-the-line AMG S65 comes with a twin-turbocharged 621-horsepower 6.0-liter V12 engine that will take you from zero to 60 mph in around four seconds. Surprisingly, the much less expensive AMG S63 ($144,700) comes equipped with a 577-horsepower 5.5-liter V8 engine that can do it in 3.8 seconds.
2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo

The Porsche Panamera Turbo uses a 550-horsepower 4.0-liter V8 engine to top out at 190 mph and tackle a zero-to-60-mph blitz in an incredible 3.4 seconds. This is the fastest gas-powered car on our list. Not only is it ridiculously potent and athletic, but it also offers spacious and inviting seating for all passengers, and a fair amount of trunk space.
2017 Tesla Model S P100D

The Tesla Model S P100D, with its all-electric powertrain, undercuts the Panamera’s time by nearly a full second or more. Tesla said the top-of-the-line Model S could hit zero to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, with standard Ludicrous speed mode and launch control.
Since then, the automaker has released an over-the-air Ludicrous Plus update, and a third-party recorded a zero-to-60-mph run that eclipsed 2.5 seconds. The Model S offers substantial cargo space and adequate room for all passengers.
