Winner: Tie (Details Below)

Both SUVs are available with a plethora of available safety features, including blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and lane keep assist. Neither vehicle has been evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

For 2017, Porsche added new standard safety features to the Macan. Every Macan now includes a rearview camera, parking sensors, and lane departure warning. Optional features include a surround-view camera system and Porsche Car Connect, which helps drivers locate their vehicle using their smartphone or call for help after an accident.

The 2017 Jaguar F-Pace has a lot of advanced safety features, but you’ll have to pay for most of them. You can get a rearview camera on the base F-Pace, you just have to spend an additional $400. However, because the F-Pace is priced competitively, there should be plenty of room in your budget. The R-Sport trim, starting at $54,900, has lane keep assist and driver drowsiness monitoring. The top-of-the-line First Edition trim has traffic sign recognition and an adaptive speed limiter that automatically slows down or accelerates the car to the posted speed limit, features that are not available on the Porsche.
