2016 Cadillac Escalade

Ryan Howard

Another prolific home run hitter of the past decade is Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard. He left the yard at least 45 times in four consecutive seasons from 2006 to 2009, winning an MVP award and a World Series in that stretch. At 6-foot 4-inches tall and 250 pounds, Howard is a big man, and he has the big vehicles to match.

His current ride is a Cadillac Escalade, which is a highly-ranked luxury large SUV. Like Howard, it has no shortage of power, and it rides smoothly, has plenty of stretch-out space even for larger adults, and its cavernous cargo area can fit all his gear. For 2016, Cadillac updated the CUE infotainment system, and it’s now more intuitive and operates faster than the older setup.

Before purchasing his Escalade, Howard owned a GMC Yukon, a more affordable large SUV. It has similar strengths to the Escalade, including brawny engine choices, a comfortable ride, plenty of seating space, and easy-to-use tech features. We named it the 2016 Best Large SUV for Families thanks to its family-friendly features and space and top-notch expert reviews.
