2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Overview

Like its platform-mate, the 2011 Chrysler Town & Country, the 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan received a number of updates that kept it competitive with other 2011 minivans, including an updated exterior. The 2011 Grand Caravan’s makeover also included better-quality interior materials and a stronger engine. A new 3.6-liter V6 engine generates 283 horsepower and reviewers said that the 2011 Grand Caravan’s revised suspension improved its handling, though they found other minivans to be more refined and achieve better fuel economy.

Dodge also upgraded the interior materials for 2011 and improved the standard Stow ‘n Go seats to make them more functional and comfortable. The Stow ‘n Go seats fold flat into the floor to create more cargo room.

Notable standard features on the 2011 Grand Caravan include cruise control, tri-zone air conditioning and a six-speaker stereo with an auxiliary input. Available features include satellite radio, a DVD entertainment package with flip-down LCD screens and a navigation system.

Other Cars to Consider

For a better-driving minivan, you should check out the 2010 Honda Odyssey, which reviewers said has a refined, car-like ride that few in the class can match.

If you're looking for a minivan with more style and a comfortable interior, reviewers thought the 2011 Toyota Sienna was a smart alternative. The Caravan performed better in crash tests, but reviewers preferred the Sienna for its well-rounded performance and nicer interior.
