2010 Dodge Challenger Overview

The 2010 Dodge Challenger comes standard with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes up to 250 horsepower. The Challenger also has two different HEMI V8 engines, depending on the trim. An automatic transmission is standard on the base SE and R/T trims and available on SRT8 trims. A six-speed manual is standard on the high-performance model but was not offered with the V6. The Challenger can get up to 17/25 mpg city/highway, which is slightly lower than average for its class. Test drivers weren’t impressed with the power of the base engine. They suggested the 372-horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V8 combined with the manual transmission for the most impressive performance. They also liked the Challenger’s performance variant, the SRT8, with the 425-horsepower 6.1-liter HEMI V8, saying it was extremely quick. Test drivers noticed that the Challenger's large size means it does not handle corners well.

Some reviewers liked the retro styling in the interior of the 2010 Dodge Challenger, but they said it has a lot of hard plastic. Reviewers liked that the cabin can seat up to five comfortably. The Challenger has one of the largest trunks in the class with 16.2 cubic feet of space. The 2010 Dodge Challenger comes standard with full power accessories, a four-speaker audio system with a CD player, an eight-way power driver’s seat and air conditioning. Available features include keyless ignition, Bluetooth, leather upholstery, a sunroof, a 13-speaker premium sound system and a navigation system.
