2020 Ford Explorer

Ford debuted the 2020 Explorer in the days before the Detroit Auto Show. It’s the most powerful Explorer ever when fitted with the available 3.0-liter turbo. Properly equipped, it will be able to tow 5,600 pounds. The redesigned model rides on an all-new platform with rear- or all-wheel drive.

All Explorers will come standard with Ford Co-Pilot360, a suite of advanced driver assistance and safety technology. It includes automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, and lane-keeping assist. Its rearview camera is equipped with a cleaning system, so you’ll always have a clear view when backing up.

Available on the 2020 Ford Explorer will be a 10.1-inch vertically oriented touch-screen infotainment system that looks and acts like an iPad. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Waze navigation are supported by the SYNC 3 system that’s included on all Explorer models.

The new Explorer is scheduled to arrive at dealers this summer.
