Which of These Luxury Sports Cars Is Right for You?

If you’re shopping for a sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette and Porsche 911 don’t seem like natural rivals. Classic American muscle and German elegance tend to travel in different circles. However, these cars have more in common than it seems: they both have a lot of heritage and are very important for their brands’ image; they’re both widely considered aspirational, yet bargains in terms of performance; and they’re both fully redesigned for the 2020 model year.

With this year’s redesigns, Porsche maintains the 911’s rear-engine, 2+2 configuration while Chevy moves the 2-seater Corvette from a front- to a midengine layout.

As of this writing, Corvette lands in the second spot from the top in our luxury sports car rankings, while the 911 trails just behind, scoring the bronze. Both cars hold the same positions in our luxury convertible rankings, as well.
